We have two different types of solar AC units. Below is system kit information for the solar/battery operated all-DC unit in various configurations based on the required daily hours of operation. We also offer an AC-DC hybrid unit that needs only 3 panels, and needs no batteries or charge controller. For information on the hybrid solar AC-DC model ACDC12.

DAY SYSTEM ~9 Hours Operation
This basic and low cost solar air conditioning system is designed to mostly run in the daytime, for up to10 hours of daily operation. There is enough deep cycle battery storage for up to 5 hours of after-sun operation / cloud margin.
Standard Duty System ~15 Hours Operation
This system satisfies the needs of most users. The standard system uses 8 x 6v golf cart type deep cycle batteries and can operate for up to 10 hours without sun when batteries are fully charged.
Heavy Duty System ~ 20/24 Hours Operation
This is a larger heavy duty version of the standard system and can run for up to 20 or more hours per day, enough for demanding around the clock operation and a cloud margin.

PLEASE NOTE -WE LIST THE STANDARD (6V GOLF CART TYPE) BATTERY PRICES FOR BUDGETARY PURPOSES. WE DON'T SELL STANDARD BATTERIES. The listed battery prices are an estimate of the battery costs. Note, solar panels for this system must always be used in "3's" meaning, 3, 6, 9 ,12 panels etc.
