All our partners and customers can now enjoy PumpScanner in the Google Play Store. PumpScanner can be directly downloaded on any smartphone or tablet with Android 4.3 or higher. Our partners and customers can simply type in “lorentz pumpscanner” into the Google Play, click on download and enjoy the benefits of PumpScanner that include:

  • real-time and stored data access to keep track of the pump’s performance and management
  • reduced fault finding time and costs
  • access to information such as water pumped, energy and cost savings, and more advanced features such as pressure and level control
  • access to timers and speed control to manage water resources

Simple sizing and configuration

LORENTZ partners use our COMPASS planning and simulation software to design a system that meets the customers’ water needs.

The system is configured on site using PumpScanner. Common configuration is done with three clicks and there is full access to configure system behaviour based on additional sensor inputs.

Manage and monitor your pumps from anywhere

LORENTZ pump systems can also be connected to our pumpMANAGER management service. This is a simple, cloud delivered, pay monthly service that takes away the complexity of remote monitoring and management. One low fee means that you can see exactly what the system is doing, make changes to settings and receive alerts irrespective of location.

              

Sensors

A range of sensors that connect to the LORENTZ pump controllers to allow measurement of pressures, water levels, water detection and irradiation levels. We also have a range of water meters which can also be connected to the controller for accurate flow measurement. The controller records and can act on the information from the sensors.

                                         

Power connection equipment

Range of DC disconnects, combiners and lightning protection equipment to ensure the DC connections from the PV array are made in a safe and code compliant way.

                                   

Smart Solution components

The SmartSolution components turn the PSk2 system into a hybrid pumping system. The SmartPSUk2 takes a DC and AC feed. It monitors the solar power available (DC) and then will blend in AC all managed automatically by your water demands. The SmartStart device combines with the SmartPSU to provide generator start/stop control and provides logic power to the PSk2 during the night.

                          

External switches

Switches for pressure, water level, float switches for tanks and a SunSwitch to allow external devices to switch on or off depending on the available sun light.

PowerPacks for PS2

We offer a range of PowerPacks which provide AC to DC conversion allowing our solar pumps to be powered from the grid or a generator. This can add flexibility in emergency situations or be used to provide 24 hour pumping solutions.

               SmartSolution Hybrid Power

                 When only hybrid power makes sense

There are applications and times when solar power alone is not the most practical or economical solution. Think of applications where there are times in the day or times in the year where sizing a solar system for the peaks means that the solar system is oversized for most of the year and so not the best investment.

Let us think about a simple example: If we have fruit tree irrigation, we can size a system that delivers all the water for 10 months of the year, but we need 30% extra for the 2 months before harvest. Using a hybrid system, we can meet 95% of our annual demand with solar and the 5% annual extra (30% for 2 months) with generator power. Installing expensive and inefficient battery systems are not a good answer as the capital investment and relatively short life would make the project very expensive. Installing hybrid power is a much more sensible way to manage these short-term needs.

Blending power

The LORENTZ SmartSolution Hybrid Power automatically blends power from solar and external sources, only using the external source where your demand for water requires it. This is not a switching system that switches between sources but effectively blends power so that only the power that is needed is demanded from the non-solar source. For a hybrid generator solution, this means running at partial load, for a hybrid grid solution this means using kWh from the grid as a top up.

Any water need is met automatically

Where there is a flow or pressure critical water pumping application, anything from an industrial process to a commercial swimming pool, the LORENTZ SmartSolution can solve the problem. PSk2 manages the start and end of day transition from solar to grid or from solar to generator power seamlessly and without the need for any operator intervention.
