The Conext™ XW 6048 120 240 60 inverter/charger is an adaptable pure sine wave, 60 Hz single-phase, split-phase or three-phase inverter/charger system. It has the capability of up to 6,000 watts of reliable continuous output power. The inverter has powerful grid-tie functionality and dual AC power inputs. The charger can charge a 48 Volt battery bank at up to 100 Amps! This model is the replacement for the Xantrex XW6048 inverter/charger in North America.

A complete Conext power system can feature solar charge controllers, monitoring, and automated generator control modules which enable further adaptability. From a single Conext XW unit to multiple clusters of units, up to 36 kW each, the Conext XW is a scalable system that allows for the integration of solar capacity as required.

Adaptable and scalable, the Schneider Electric Conext XW system is the one solution for global grid-interactive and off-grid, residential and commercial, solar and backup power applications.

Schneider Electric Conext™ XW 6048 60Hz Solar Inverter/Charger Review

The Conext XW 6048 by Schneider Electric is a hybrid Inverter with built-in charger. It will also accept 40V DC to 64V DC from a solar array for charging batteries with the MPPT-60-150 or MPPT-80-600 solar charge controller. It accepts 120VAC and 240VAC for the charging circuit.

It is typically wall mounted. The XW6048 includes a battery temperature sensor for temperature compensation. Time-tested Xanbus networking developed by Xantrex is used for its communication network.

The robust and reliable XW 6048 is ideal for off-grid solar applications or battery backup for power outages when on-grid supplemented with a solar array.

The XW6048 has a NEMA Type 1 enclosure. This is constructed for indoor use to provide a degree of protection to anybody from touching hazardous parts. It also provides a degree of protection of the equipment inside the enclosure from falling dirt or debris.

Schneider Electric Conext™ XW MPPT 60-150 Charge Controller (SCC)

The Conext XW MPPT 60-150 Solar Charge Controller is a 60 amp solar charge controller that tracks the electrical maximum power point of a solar panel array to deliver the maximum available current for charging batteries. This is a direct replacement for the Xantrex XW SCC. When charging, the MPPT algorithm regulates battery voltage and output current based on the amount of energy available from the PV array and state-of-charge of the battery.

The Conext™ MPPT 80 600 solar charge controller is designed for 24 Volt or 48 volt DC battery banks and a maximum charge current of 80 Amps. It offers an industry-first set of integration features and top performance that allows for large PV array systems to be easily installed and connected to the battery bank at the lowest overall cost. Installing one MPPT 80 600 is faster than installing multiple smaller charge controllers and lowers overall costs further by utilizing fewer PV strings, smaller wiring and conduit, and by eliminating the need for PV combiner boxes and DC circuit breakers.
