GrowControl SXHM precision digital hydroponics sensor transmitter, data logger and mini-controller for temperature, pH, conductivity, plus oxidation reduction potential (Redox, ORP) or dissolved oxygen (DO.) Color display and 3-button interface make this unit capable of operating stand-alone for sensor monitoring, alerts, and more. Precision digital electronics with isolated probe inputs accurately read and record sensor data. Internal memory logs 21,600 data points per sensor for months or years of storage. Accurate real-time-clock with battery backup keeps log time accurate during power outages.

The SXHM hydro sensor continuously monitors the sensor probes and compares the readings to “target” set points for pH, conductivity (EC) and ORP (optional.)

If you are looking to not only monitor your hydroponic set up, but dose on the fly as well, check out the MDX system from Agrowtek. This includes the SXHM monitor, as well as several pump configurations for an easy, autonomous dosing system.

Potential problems and issues are sent to you at an instant via text or email too, so you never have to worry!

If you're looking to use an onsite PC, Agrowtek also offers an easy solution for configuration, firmware updates and data logging, and more using the Agrowtek LX1 AgrowLink. When using the LX1, you can also connect the SXHM to the HX8 8-port hub, which allows the control of multiple dosers, sensors, & relays directly via your onsite PC.

To make sure you set your system up how you truly like and not just how you can get it, Agrowtek systems use standard MODBUS protocalls and can be controlled by MODBUS devises using Agrowtek's LX2 ModLink.

Sensor Set Up & Usage

Connecting Your Sensor Probes To The SXHM Controller

pH and ORP or DO sensors are equipped with “BNC” style connectors; push on and then turn to lock in place.

Temperature and EC probes have a screw terminal block. Make the connections according to the label on the transmitter. The terminal block may be removed for easier wire installation or for service.

Sensors Require Continuous Contact

SXHM monitors require the sensors to be continuously in contact with the water in order to properly manage the dosing pumps. Probe can be located in the reservoir tank, or may be installed inline with a continuously recirculating water flow.

pH & ORP probes must remain wet to avoid damage. Do not allow probe tips to dry!

Simplify Your Grow Set Up & Cable Management While Taking Advantage of AgrowTek's Immense Customization Capabilities

The HX8 GrowNET hub expands any GrowNET master port into 8 more ports! Fully buffered hub provides power to all 8 ports using the DC power jack for Power-Over-GrowNET to sensors and relays for easy, single-cable connections to the devices.

Agrowtek’s sensors and relays can be powered directly over the RJ45 connection from a hub. A terminal block power input is also available for panel mounted applications.

A ‘master’ upstream port is connected to a device such as the LX1 USB Link or LX2 ModLINK™ interface, or even a downstream port on another HX8 hub. Downstream ports then connect to various Agrowtek GrowNET™ devices including sensors, I/O modules and dosing pumps.

Hubs may be daisy-chained as required up to the maximum number of ports on a bus (247 MODBUS / 250 GrowNET™.) Transceivers on every port provide full signal strength and noise immunity to every device resulting in highly robust communications across large networks of devices.

Ideal for installation in each room of a facility to connect multiple devices to a single cat5 cable. Hubs can be daisy chained as required by connecting the upstream port into another HX8 downstream port.

Important: Pumps require their own power supply.
